CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic care can be remarkable for treating new, recurring or persistent back and neck pain (with or without radiating symptoms) and some headaches.

 

Chiropractors are best known for treating the spine and associated nerve, muscle and joint issues throughout the entire body. Chiropractic care is conservative, noninvasive and patient centered.

SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC​

Certified Chiropractic Sports Physicians offer more than traditional chiropractic adjustments. They are diligent medical professionals who strive to excel in the diagnosis and management of sports related injuries. Treatment skills include manipulation, soft tissue therapy, physiotherapy modalities, and therapeutic exercise.

Sports chiropractic is not exclusive to athletes and can benefit any patient. 

​

The American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians  (ACBSP) is a professional credentialing organization that sponsors the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) Program. This ACBSP Certification Program is designed to assess and objectively measure the professional knowledge and competency of chiropractic doctors engaged in the specialty of chiropractic sports medicine.

The ACBSP promotes the highest standards of excellence and clinical competence for chiropractors specializing in sports medicine and physical fitness.

MCKENZIE METHOD (MDT)

​

The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is a system of care emphasizing patient empowerment and self-treatment. This approach to diagnosis and therapy applies to acute and chronic conditions of the spine and the extremities. MDT is an active patient treatment style that emphasizes physical activity and encourages patients to be in control of their own care.

THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE

As pain and other symptoms are reduced, therapeutic exercise is incorporated to help restore pain-free movement. Dr. Netley will work with you to strengthen and condition your body to be better equipped to handle the rigors of your sport or your activities of your daily living. Recovery of function (athletic, work-related, daily activities, etc.) is a key component to pain management and performance.

 

Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists (CSCS) are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury reduction.

 

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning and related sport science professions around the world. The NSCA exists to empower a community of professionals to maximize their impact through disseminating evidence-based knowledge and its practical application.

Dr. Netley is also a USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach.
